Report: Nets, Cavaliers discussing trade involving Jason Terry and Jarrett Jack
The Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers are discussing a trade involving Cavaliers guard Jarrett Jack and Nets guard Jason Terry, reports Ohm Youngmisuk and Marc Stein of ESPN.com.
The NBA trade deadline is Thursday.
The 30-year-old Jack is averaging 8.5 points on 39.7 percent shooting in 25 minutes per game in his first season in Cleveland.
Terry, 36, averages 4.5 points in 16 minutes per game this season.
Both teams entered the All-Star break fighting to secure playoff positions. Brooklyn, at 24-27, is currently the No. 7 seed. Cleveland, which has won four in a row, is three games out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Nets, eager to add a proven ballhandler and backcourt scorer to their bench rotation, are willing to take on the two remaining guaranteed seasons worth in excess of $12 million left on Jack's contract despite the luxury-tax implications. But it's believed that the Cavs, if they decided to go ahead with such a move, would try to find a third team to absorb Terry's contract.
