The Los Angeles Angels saw two of their star players taken off the field with injuries at spring training on Tuesday, with Josh Hamilton suffering a calf injury, and C.J. Wilson being hit in the head by a line drive, according to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times.

Outfielder Hamilton suffered his injury during a base running drill, requiring an MRI which confirmed that he had strained his left calf. The former MVP left the team facilities in crutches, and said he would take his time with rehab and feels confident he will be ready for opening day.

C.J. Wilson was knocked to the ground while pitching by a line drive from Yorvit Torrealba. Wilson was bleeding but never lost consciousness and wanted to continue pitching. However, the team's medical staff sent the pitcher to get a CT scan as a precaution, despite his having passed an onsite neurological test.
