76ers coach Brett Brown wonders if team will win again this season
The Philadelphia 76ers have lost 14 games in a row, prompting head coach Brett Brown to wonder if the team will win again this season.
After a 122-103 loss to the Washington Wizards on Saturday, Brown didn't hold back on his feelings about the team's chances the rest of the season.
“All the time, I tell them that,” Brown said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. “This is the truth.”
"If we don’t play better transition defense and don’t share the ball, then we have some problems, that is a fact,” Brown said. “Because I think there is wins in that locker room if we get back in transition and we just have a chance to guard and we play together.”
The NBA record for consecutive losses is 26, set by the 2010-11 Cleveland Cavaliers. That team finished the season 19–63. Despite the losing streak, the Sixers (15-45) have the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference behind the Milwaukee Bucks.
