The New York Islanders are scheduled to move to Brooklyn's Barclays Center for the 2015-16 season. They could do so with a new owner, according to Bob McKenzie of TSN.

On Friday, McKenzie tweeted that Islanders owner Charles Wang is in talks to sell a majority interest in the franchise.

Wang has been linked to having interest in selling the team in previous years since becoming the team's principal owner in 2004.

The Islanders have struggled during Wang's tenure, qualifying for the playoffs just twice without a first-round series win. Wang has long cited the team's dreadful conditions at Nassau County Coliseum as a significant obstacle and signed a 25-year deal to play in Brooklyn after two failed campaigns for arena improvements.
