Los Angeles Lakers point guard Kent Bazemore will miss the rest of the season after tearing a tendon in his right foot, the team announced Monday. He will undergo surgery to repair the tendon.

The injury occurred during the Lakers' 120-97 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday afternoon. The Lakers began the game with only nine available players.

Bazemore was acquired from the Golden State Warriors earlier this season and has started 14 games for the Lakers while averaging 13.1 points and 3.1 assists.
