Thunder's Derek Fisher undecided on retirement, coaching

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Derek Fisher said he hasn't decided on his future, which could include retirement or coaching.

Fisher spoke to the media hours after the Thunder were eliminated in six games by the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals.

"It's not that many hours since postgame at this point," Fisher said, via the Oklahoman. “I’m still struggling with the results of last night. If this was it. I’m beyond thankful that it was here and it was with these group of guys and this people and this community.”

Still, Fisher said he hasn't made a decision about retiring after an 18-year career, which includes five championship rings with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Used a reserve, Fisher played 81 games this season and averaged 5.2 points a game. He says he is intrigued by coaching and has been linked to coaching vacancies with the Lakers and the New York Knicks.

"Coaching allows for you to positively impact other people's lives. To help a group of people find success, whether they have or haven't before, you're all working together for a common goal," he said.
