Report: Rays OF Wil Myers out at least two months with slight stress fracture

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Wil Myers has been ruled out at least two months with a slight stress fracture in his right wrist, according to an MLB.com report

Myers will be in a cast for the next five to six weeks and then could begin rehab after being re-evaluated. On Sunday, the team placed him on the 15-day DL.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury in Friday’s loss to the Red Sox. He collided with teammate Desmond Jennings during A.J. Pierzynski’s walk-off triple in the 10th inning and fell hard on his back and right arm.

In 53 games this season, Myers was batting .227/.313/.354 with five homers and 25 RBI. Myers hit .293/.354/.478 in 88 games and was named AL Rookie of the Year in 2013.
