The Cincinnati Reds will get first baseman Joey Votto back for Tuesday's game at home against the Dodgers, the team tweeted.

Votto, a four-time All-Star, hasn't played since May 16, rehabbing a strained quadriceps while on the disabled list. In his absence, the team -- currently 29-33 -- went 11-12, using mostly backup catcher Brayan Pena as the first baseman. Now back in the lineup, he will bat third on Tuesday night in the Reds' second of four games vs. the Dodgers this week.

Prior to the injury, the 30-year-old 2010 NL MVP was hitting .257 this season with more walks (33) than strikeouts (31). He also had a .410 on-base percentage in his 39 games this season.

The Reds are currently second-to-last in the NL Central, ahead of only the 25-36 Chicago Cubs.
