The Cleveland Cavaliers have contacted former Golden State Warriors head coach Mark Jackson about filling their coaching position, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.

Cleveland fired coach Mike Brown one year into his second stint with the team and brought in David Griffin as the team's new general manager after the team went 33-49 last season.

In addition to Jackson, the team has shown interest in Los Angeles Clippers assistants Alvin Gentry and Tyronn Lue, who are in their second round of interviews with the team, as well as former Cavaliers star Mark Price, who spent last season as an assistant with the Charlotte Bobcats.

Jackson parted ways with the Warriors after their second consecutive first-round exit from the playoffs. He is currently back in ABC's broadcast booth with Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy for NBA Finals coverage.
