Report: Cavaliers’ coaching search down to Tyronn Lue, David Blatt

The Cleveland Cavaliers are down to two candidates to fill their coaching vacancy: Tyronn Lue and David Blatt, according to a report from Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com.

Lue has been an assistant on Doc Rivers' benches in Boston and Los Angeles the last four years. Before that, he played for seven teams in his 11-year NBA career, averaging 8.5 points and 3.1 assists per game over that span.

Blatt is one of the most successful international coaches. He coached Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2010-2014, and guided the club to the Euroleague title this season, before stepping down to pursue NBA opportunities. He also coached the Russian team that won the bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics in London.

The Cavaliers offer the promise of a young All-Star in Kyrie Irving, several recent top draft picks, and the number one overall selection in the 2014 draft. However, Cleveland was the youngest team in the NBA last season, and went just 33-49.
