One of the main transfer soap operas of the summer could be finally drawing to a close, as reports in Italy suggest that Ronaldinho will complete his transfer to AC Milan by the end of Monday.

It was revealed earlier Monday morning that the Brazilian had failed to turn up for Barcelona's preseason medical examination, thus virtually confirming that his Spanish adventure was all but over.

The 28-year-old has, within the last hour, arrived at Barcelona's El Prat Airport, but it seems that he won't be staying in the city for long.

Milan general manager Adriano Galliani has also arrived in Barcelona for a meeting with the Blaugrana's technical secretary Txiki Begiristain. It is expected that all the final details of the Ronaldinho transfer will be completed at this meeting, and then a public statement will be issued confirming the Brazilian's transfer.

It was suggested in the Gazzetta dello Sport Monday morning that Ronaldinho's transfer fee could be in the region of $24 million, which is a steep drop from the reported $40 million that Barça was said to be asking for before.
