Altidore reportedly in Hull loan talks in England

Jozy Altidore is due in England to hold talks with Hull City about a one-year loan deal from Villarreal that would help ease the Tigers' need for a goal-scorer, according to The Hull Daily Mail.

The U.S. international revealed via Twitter that he was set for talks with Premier League clubs, but did not reveal where he would be flying to this week.

Hull City made an inquiry about Altidore's availability after failing to pry Bobby Zamora from Fulham and was given permission by Villarreal to speak to him.

As well as being told the details of the move, the 19-year-old will be shown around the KC Stadium and hear manager Phil Bown's plans for the new season.

After joining Villarreal last summer, Altidore made six appearances for the club before being loaned to Xerez in January where he was unable to appear due to injury.

New Yellow Submarine coach Ernesto Valverde is keen to keep the former New York Red Bulls forward, but believes a year gaining first-team experience will be invaluable.
