Hart names 23-man Canada squad for Gold Cup

TORONTO (Reuters) -- Canada coach Stephen Hart has named a 23-man squad for next month's CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States.

There were few surprises in Hart's squad, with the bulk of the selected players based overseas and having played in the last Gold Cup.

Canada won the Gold Cup in 2000 and are drawn in Group C for next month's tournament, alongside the U.S, Panama and Guadeloupe.

Canada's first match is against the U.S. in Detroit on June 7. They will also play a pre-tournament friendly against Ecuador on June 1 in Toronto.

Canada squad:
