SWANSEA, Wales (AP) -Linked with coaching jobs at Chelsea and Real Madrid, Michael Laudrup has pledged his future to Swansea by signing a new contract that keeps him as manager of the Premier League club until June 2015.

The Denmark great has made a big impression since joining Swansea last summer, guiding the team to its first major trophy when it won the League Cup final against Bradford last month. Swansea is eighth in the league.

Laudrup has been a leading contender to take over from Rafa Benitez at Chelsea at the end of the season and also widely viewed as a potential replacement for Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.

Laudrup says Friday "I know there has been a lot of speculation, but I've always said that I am happy here.''
