Ex-U.S. defender Danny Califf retires from Toronto FC
TORONTO (AP) -- Toronto FC defender Danny Califf is retiring as a player and will become a scout for the team.
The 33-year-old Californian joined Toronto in December after playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy, San Jose, Philadelphia and Chivas USA in Major League Soccer, and Aalborg and Midtjylland in Denmark.
Toronto announced his retirement Friday.
