Barcelona star Neymar will miss the club's Copa del Rey match against Getafe with a stomach illness.

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) - Barcelona says forward Neymar will miss the Copa del Rey match against Getafe on Wednesday because of a stomach illness.

The Catalan club says Neymar is dealing with a bout of gastroenteritis and has been dropped from the squad for the last-16 game in favor of midfielder Xavi Hernandez.

The Brazil striker featured as a substitute in the 4-0 league win over Elche on Sunday.

Neymar's absence comes with forward Lionel Messi expected to return to action at the Camp Nou against Getafe.
