LIVERPOOL, England (AP) - Everton has completed the loan signing of Lacina Traore from Monaco, with the Ivory Coast striker free to play for the Premier League club once he receives his visa in the coming days.

The 23-year-old Traore, who was granted a work permit on Tuesday, will be at Goodison Park until the end of the season.

The tall striker only joined Monaco from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala at the start of January.

Traore will provide back-up to Romelu Lukaku, Everton's first-choice forward who is on loan from Chelsea.

Everton is sixth in the league, a point behind fourth-place Liverpool in the race for Champions League qualification.
