Chilean international Alexis Sanchez is set to join Arsenal from FC Barcelona with a £30 million deal, reports the Telegraph.

The reported deal would pay Sanchez around £100,000 ($171,221) per week.

Following a strong showing in the World Cup, Sanchez was drawing plenty of interest on the transfer market. He was previously connected to Liverpool as a key piece in a potential deal for Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, but Suarez is now poised to join Barcelona for a cash sum, according to the report, and Sanchez found his way to Arsenal.

Juventus was also in the mix for Sanchez, but they were unable to match the offer that was placed by The Gunners.

Sanchez, 25, scored 21 goals in 54 total appearances for Barcelona last season. He scored two goals in the World Cup, helping lead Chile to the Round of 16 for the second straight Cup.
