USWNT, U.S. Soccer Trial Postponed Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

The trail date between the USWNT and U.S. Soccer has been postponed amid the coronavirus pandemic. Judge Gary Klauster ordered that the trail be postponed until June 16th. The outbreak has caused operations at the Los Angeles-based courthouse where the trail is set to take place to be limited. In addition to pushing back the trail, Judge Klauster narrowed the scope of U.S. Soccer’s defenses to some of the more controversial statements U.S. Soccer has made in some of the legal filings. SI’s legal analyst Michael McCann explains what some of those statements are and how they’ll affect the trail.
