In the first women's semifinal, No. 7 Ana Ivanovic will take on No. 13 Lucie Safarova. Safarova leads their head to head 5–3 including a 6–3, 6–3 victory in the third round in Paris last year. Ivanovic has the two biggest shots in this matchup—her first serve and her forehand. Similar to her match against Maria Sharapova, Safarova will want to target Ivanovic's backhand side with her slice serves and her cross court forehands. If Safarova can dictate the rally patterns to her advantage, she could get the result on Thursday. How do the righty and lefty compare?
