WASHINGTON (AP) Emma Meesseman scored 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting, Tayler Hill added 17 points, five assists and four steals and the Washington Mystics never trailed in an 87-63 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday.

Tianna Hawkins had 11 points, including three 3-pointers, for Washington (8-8). The Mystics have won four of their last five games.

Meesseman scored 16 points on 7-of-7 shooting, while the Mystics shot 62 percent (13 of 21) from the field - including six 3-pointers - to take a 33-13 at the end of the first - Washington's high-scoring quarter this season.

Minnesota (13-2) has lost two in a row after opening the season with WNBA-record 13 consecutive wins. It was the lowest scoring output of the season for the defending champion Lynx.

The Mystics made a season-high 11 3s and had nine steals.

Renee Montgomery had 15 points, and Sylvia Fowles added 13 for Minnesota. Maya Moore finished with a season-low five points, on 2-of-9 shooting, and committed five turnovers.

SPARKS 80, SUN 73

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Nneka Ogwumike had 27 points on 11-of-16 shooting, and Candace Parker scored on back-to-back possessions late to help Los Angeles beat Connecticut.

Parker and Essence Carson scored 10 points apiece for the Sparks (13-1).

A 3-pointer by Alex Bentley pulled Connecticut (3-12) within five with 2:12 to play, but Parker answered with a two baskets to ignite a 7-2 spurt that gave the Sparks an 80-70 lead with 32 seconds left.

Chiney Ogwumike, Nneka's younger sister, led Connecticut with 16 points. Alyssa Thomas added 11 points and nine rebounds and tied her career high with seven assists.

MERCURY 104, LIBERTY 97, OT

NEW YORK (AP) - Candice Dupree scored 26 points, Diana Taurasi added 24 - including three free throws late in regulation - and Phoenix beat New York to end the Liberty's six-game winning streak.

Phoenix (6-9) trailed by 10 heading into the fourth quarter before rallying. The Mercury tied it at 89 on Taurasi's free throws with 7.8 seconds left. Tina Charles had a chance to win it for New York in regulation but her baseline jumper was short.

In overtime, Dupree scored eight points for the Mercury.

Charles scored 26 points, and Sugar Rodgers added 23 for the Liberty (10-5).
