The Green Bay Packers took more than just a loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 15 of the 2025 season.

Star pass rusher Micah Parsons, who has 12.5 sacks in the 2025 campaign, appears to have suffered a torn ACL, which could end his season. This is a massive blow to a Green Bay team that is fighting for a playoff spot in the NFC, especially with a massive division matchup with the Chicago Bears on tap for Week 16.

Oddsmakers have reacted to the Packers' loss to Denver and the fact that Parsons is not expected to suit up again this season. Green Bay, which was +800 to win the Super Bowl after Week 15, has fallen to to +1500 to win the Super Bowl in the latest odds at DraftKings. That's a major drop off for a team that is still 9-4-1 in the 2025 season.

Green Bay has the last playoff spot in the NFC as of Monday morning, and it has a favorable cushion on the 8-6 Detroit Lions (the No. 8 seed) in the standings. Still, it's clear that the betting market views the ceiling of this Green Bay team as much lower than it was with Parsons healthy.

The Packers are behind the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Broncos, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans and tied with the New England Patriots in the latest odds to win the Super Bowl.

The Packers' defense hasn't exactly been dominant in the 2025 season, ranking 17th in EPA/Play, 21st in EPA/Pass, seventh in EPA/Rush and fifth in yards per play allowed. Losing Parsons not only weakens the team's pass rush, but it takes away from all of the plays he makes in the run game as well. The four-time Pro Bowler has 12 tackles for loss, 26 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles in the 2025 season.

For now, oddsmakers are viewing the Packers as a secondary contender in the NFC. However, if they beat the Bears to re-take the NFC North lead, they could see their odds jump in a big way.

Still, the loss of Parsons looms large when evaluating the ceiling of Green Bay in the postseason.
