MAC allowing fans and students to 'cover' media day

For fans that have always wondered what it would be like to be a member of the media, there is an opportunity to have that experience for one day. The Mid-American Conference has announced that a handful of lucky fans will get to serve as "social media correspondents" for the MAC Media Day at Ford Field in Detroit on Wednesday, July 23. 

The MAC is accepting applications on their official website for those who are all about that MAC-tion, boss.

From the application:

On Wednesday, July 23rd we will host our Mid-American Conference Football Media Day in Detroit, Mich. at Ford Field (11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.). We are looking for social media correspondents that will cover the event -- just like a member of the media! Talk to your favorite players & coaches as we bring in the 2014 MAC Football Season. APPLY NOW!

Maybe the conference will choose journalism majors or students that will take the opportunity to get their feet wet in the business. But if not, a few lucky fans will get the chance to be face-to-face with some of their favorite players.
