Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller's shoulder surgery is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, according to The Columbus Dispatch's Bill Rabinowitz.

Miller will miss the entire 2014 season after partially tearing his right labrum during practice on Monday. He also injured his shoulder during January's Orange Bowl loss to Clemson and sat out spring practice after having surgery.

Ohio State is expected to start redshirt freshman quarterback J.T. Barrett in Miller's place.

Miller threw for 2,094 yards and 24 touchdowns last season, while rushing for 1,068 yards and 12 touchdowns en route to being named Big Ten Player of the Year for a second straight season.

Ohio State opens the season on Aug. 30 against Navy.
