Michigan RB Ty Isaac has appeal denied, won't be eligible in 2014
Michigan running back Ty Isaac will not be eligible to play this season after the NCAA rejected his appeal of a denied medical hardship waiver, according to reports.
Isaac will sit out 2014 in compliance with NCAA transfer rules and will have three years of eligibility beginning in 2015, his sophomore season.
Isaac filed the waiver after transferring from USC to a school closer to his mother, who is based in Shorewood, Ill. She is recovering from a surgery that prevents her from flying.

The NCAA -- which typically doesn't grant waivers if the family member in question doesn't live within a 100-mile radius of the player's new school -- denied Isaac's waiver. Shorewood is approximately 260 miles away from Ann Arbor, Mich.
Isaac, a former five-star recruit from Joliet, Ill., rushed for 236 yards and two touchdowns on 5.9 yards per carry in 14 games for the Trojans last season.

Michigan ranks 30th nationally and third among Big Ten teams with 242.00 rushing yards per game.
The Wolverines are 2-1 this season with wins over Appalachian State and Miami (OH) and a loss to Notre Dame.
