Police said former Clemson quarterback and recent Ole Miss signee Chad Kelly was arrested Sunday morning in Buffalo, N.Y., the Buffalo Newsreports.

According to the report, the 20-year-old punched a bouncer around 3:15 a.m. ET Sunday after refusing to leave a bar.

From the Buffalo News:

Kelly continued to fight with two bouncers and stated “I’m going to go to my car and get my AK-47 and spray this place,” according to a report.

Kelly was forcibly removed from the vehicle, officers said. Police said Kelly kicked and tried to swing at officers as they removed him from the vehicle. They said he resisted getting into a patrol vehicle and struggled with staff at central booking.

According to the News,Kelly faces multiple charges, including third-degree assault, second-degree harassment, third-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Kelly was released without bail on Sunday "to await further court proceedings."

Kelly spent the past season playing for East Mississippi Community College after he was kicked off Clemson's team in April, reportedly for getting into an argument with coaches during the spring game. Kelly signed with Ole Miss last week.

Kelly is the nephew of Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly.
