College Football Odds: USC posted as underdogs on the road at Oregon

The Oregon Ducks opened as a 2.5-point favorite against the USC Trojans but have been bet down to -4 with early action coming in on the home team.

The USC Trojans are 9-4 straight up and 7-6 against the spread in their last 13 games on the road. The Trojans can keep their Rose Bowl hopes alive this Saturday with a road win over the Oregon Ducks in Eugene.

USC is a 4-point road underdog at Autzen Stadium according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Ducks opened as a 2.5-point favorite but have been bet down to -4 with early action coming in on the home team.

Since firing former head coach Steve Sarkisian, the USC Trojans haven't lost a game in conference play going 4-0 SU and 2-2 ATS including wins at home against Utah and on the road against California.

The Trojans fell short in their first road game under interim coach Clay Helton in a 41-31 loss against Notre Dame, but they'll have another chance to make a statement this Saturday on the road against the Ducks. USC is 7-3 SU and 5-5 ATS on the season.

Roundtable: Who'd deserve a playoff spot more: Notre Dame or Oklahoma?

The Trojans are 3-2 SU and ATS in their last five road games against Oregon per the OddsShark College Football Database including a 38-35 win as a 16-point underdog in 2011.

The Oregon Ducks need a dynamic quarterback to run their up-tempo offense, and the difference has been night-and-day with Vernon Adams Jr. in the lineup and without him.

As Adams struggled with a finger injury through the first half of the season, the Ducks went 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS. But over the team's last four games, the Ducks are a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS including a 38-36 road upset over Stanford last Saturday as a 9-point underdog. Oregon has won 20 of its last 24 games at home.

The total for Saturday's game is 71.5 points. The OVER is 4-1 in the last five games between the Trojans and the Ducks.

If USC can beat Oregon on the road this week and UCLA at home next week, the Trojans would advance to the Pac-12 Championship Game. That won't be an easy task with a healthy Vernon Adams Jr. taking snaps though. This should be a great game between two of the Pac-12's top teams.
