College Football Podcast: Sizing up Big 12 expansion, Texas's future

Should the Big 12 expand? If so, who are its best options? And can Charlie Strong turn Texas around in 2016? The Austin American-Statesman's Kirk Bohls joins the SI College Football Podcast to discuss the Longhorns and the Big 12.

The Big 12 will decide whether to expand or stay at 10 teams this summer. Does it make sense for the conference to add two teams? Which schools have the best case to join?

Meanwhile Charlie Strong enters a pivotal year at Texas that could be his last if he doesn't show progress after going 11–14 in his first two seasons with the Longhorns. Can he turn Texas around? First he has to figure out what type of offense he wants to run and which quarterback is going to run it.

Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman has covered Texas football since 1971. He joins host Lindsay Schnell on the SI College Football podcast to break down the Longhorns' 2016 prospects and discuss the Big 12's expansion options.
