Alabama's road back to the NCAA Championships starts Thursday in Michigan.

As the 8-seed, the Crimson Tide will face No. 9 Michigan, Kent State and Penn State in the first regional semifinal in a quad meet setting. The second semifinal later Thursday evening features No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 16 NC State, Ohio State and the winner of Wednesday’s play-in matchup between Illinois and Ball State.

The top two teams from each session will advance to the NCAA Regional Finals on Saturday, April 6. The top-two teams from the Regional Finals will then advance to the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas.

Alabama's season ended in the Regional Finals last season at Oklahoma. The Crimson Tide's seniors like Luisa Blanco, Ella Burgess and Cam Machado don't want that to happen again.

"The team is ready and excited," head coach Ashley Johnston said in a press release. "We’ve talked a lot about keeping our mission greater than the distractions and focusing on the things that we can control. If we can control each moment throughout this week, that is what’s going to give us the best shot at getting the outcome we want by the end of this regional.”
