Pinging The Portal: Cincinnati Targeting Multiple Power-Five Guards

CINCINNATI — Wes Miller and his staff are in the market for a new guard from the transfer portal. Three of the players they are targeting played at high-level programs last year, starting with LSU's Brandon Murray.
LSU transfer Brandon Murray received a visit from the Texas A&M coaching staff yesterday. Here are the other schools on his list:

Murray averaged 10 points and three assists from LSU last season and cracked the SEC All-Freshman team. He was the consensus 89th-ranked recruit in 2021. The 6-foot-5 guard would mix in well alongside David Dejulius as a strong switching guard on defense.
He shot 49 percent from the field and 35 percent from deep last season. According to Evan Miya, Murray is the fifth-best transfer candidate available.
Next on the target list is Indiana's Rob Phinnisee.
Indiana transfer Rob Phinisee has heard from the following programs:

Ohio State
Iowa
Cal
Bradley

Cincinnati
Phinisee averaged 4.5PPG, 2.1RPG and 1.7APG in 21-22 for the Hoosiers. A very quality player. @robphinisee1 pic.twitter.com/r9IhaYe2LR
The senior averaged 4.5 points and 2.1 rebounds for Indiana last season. His playing time dropped from 27 minutes to 18 minutes per game, and he struggled to maintain his shooting efficiency. Despite that, Phinisee is still ranked as Evan Miya's 48th-best transfer overall and 15th-ranked point guard.
Last on this Portal Ping is West Virginia transfer guard Sean McNeil.
WVU transfer Sean McNeil tells Portal Updates he’s heard from:

The 6-foot-2 graduate transfer averaged 12.2 points and 2.5 rebounds last season for the Mountaineers. Over the last two seasons, the sharpshooter nailed 37.8% of his 333 3-point attempts and finished third and sixth among all Big-12 players in made triples in those two seasons. McNeil is one of the more efficient shooters in the portal and would bring some nice veteran savvy to Clifton.
According to Evan Miya, McNeil is the 28th-best transfer available and the 10th-best shooting guard on the market.
