Bearcats Offensive Lineman Vince McConnell Playing in 2022 Hula Bowl
CINCINNATI — One big fella on the Cincinnati offensive line is heading to Orlando for the 2022 Hula Bowl. Senior guard Vince McConnell is traveling south to show off his talents for NFL scouts in the Jan. 15 showcase game.
McConnell is one of the leaders on the greatest Bearcats team in program history. He is a mainstay at right guard and has the versatility to play all across the line. That will likely be his ticket onto an NFL roster if he does impress scouts. McConnell started nine games last year on a line that was named a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award.
The senior is a big reason why the Bearcats are a highly-efficient rushing offense. Cincinnati ranks eighth nationally in EPA/rush (0.19).
