CINCINNATI — Cincinnati football has dialed in its portal needs and started narrowing down candidates to join the team as we dive into another Pinging The Portal. We start the fourth day of action with an offer for junior Chattanooga linebacker Alex Mitchell.

The 6-1, 230-pound talent holds one more year of eligibility after slashing out 100 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, and four pass breakups this past season.

It earned him career-highs in snaps (663) and PFF grade (76.2 overall) at the FCS level.

Cincinnati has another visit lined up. 247Sports's Chris Hummer reports that Elon edge rusher Cazeem Moore is visiting Clifton this weekend.

The junior has one season of eligibility left after notching 51 tackles, six sacks, and three forced fumbles in 2024. It amounted to a strong 76.7 PFF grade on 540 snaps.

More visits rounded out the action on Day Four as Cincinnati gets ready to woo Elon transfer tight end Cole Hardy. The veteran tight end was one of Cincinnati's first offers in this portal cycle.

The 6-5, 271-pound talent has one year of eligibility left after posting six catches for 36 yards and one score this past season at the FCS level (52.5 overall PFF grade on a career-high 437 snaps).

He is also visiting schools like Lousiville and Mississippi State

The news closes on Day Four with a scheduled visit next week from Ball State transfer wide receiver Justin Bowick. 247Sports's Chris Hummer reported the news as he also checks out Louisville and Kentucky.

The junior pass-catcher caught 20 passes for 383 yards and three touchdowns this past season. He holds two years of eligibility after playing 192 snaps with a career-high 74.7 PFF grade
