*News in order of reporting date
CINCINNATI — Cincinnati has already locked in a handful of transfer commitments this cycle, with more offers slowly trickling to the surface in Week Two. We start this Pinging The Portal with an offer for Oregon State linebacker Isaiah Chisom.
The redshirt freshman holds two more years of eligibility after starting 11 games in 2024 and finishing with 75 tackles (second-most on the team) and one forced fumble. It amounted to a 63.2 overall PFF grade on 595 snaps.
The 6-foot, 218-pound talent mostly played as a box linebacker on either side of the alignment for OSU. He would be a strong rotation piece in Cincinnati's young LB room.

Cincinnati also offered his teammate and positionmate Melvin Jordan IV.
The 5-11, 225-pound thumper earned a starting role as a redshirt sophomore in 2024, where he started each of the 10 games he played in and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Next to Chisom, Jordan logged 45 tackles as well as 2.5 TFLs and a pass breakup. Jordan's 45 tackles were good for fourth on the team and helped earn him a 77 PFF grade on 457 snaps.
He played in the same spots as Chisom in OSU's defensive structure.

Cincinnati added another offer later in the week for South Alabama edge rusher Jordan Norman.
The redshirt freshman holds three more seasons of eligibility after posting 25 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two pass breakups. He mostly played off the ball at South Alabama but lined up like a chameleon at over five positions last season.
The 6-4, 249-pound talent earned a 69.2 PFF grade this past season on 393 snaps. He'd be a versatile addition to a needy Bearcats' defensive line

Impactful Penn running back Malachi Hosley was in town Dec. 18-19 and posted some photos from his trip to Clifton. Hosley is also visiting Virginia and Georgia Tech.
The 5-10, 195-pound talent ran for 1,192 yards and nine touchdowns this past season on 6.2 yards per carry at the FCS level.
He has two year's of eligibility left after earning an elite 88.8 PFF grade on 444 snaps in 2024. Pairing him with another year of Evan Pryor could leave little drop off in the rushing attack despite the loss of Corey Kiner.

The second week of the transfer portal closed with an offer for New Mexico State freshman safety Tayden Barnes. Players have until Dec. 28 to enter the portal as Cincinnati continues trying to beef up its defense with the fresh entry.
Barnes holds three more seasons of eligibility after posting 57 tackles, two interceptions and six pass breakups. It amounted to a 60.6 PFF grade on 840 snaps and a spot on the Conference USA All-Freshman team.
He already holds offers from Houston and Texas State after getting into the portal this weekend.
