Report: Former Cincinnati HC Brian Kelly is LSU's top Coaching Target
CINCINNATI — Former Cincinnati Bearcats head coach and current headman at Notre Dame—Brian Kelly—is LSU's top head-coaching target this offseason. The Athletic's Bruce Feldman broke the news on Monday.
Kelly coached the Cincinnati Bearcats to their only other 12-0 regular season (2009) besides the one they just wrapped up. He holds the highest win rate in UC history (85%, 34-6 all-time).
The Fighting Irish are 11-1 this season, with their only loss coming against Cincinnati 24-13. The veteran coach has recorded five straight 10-win seasons at ND after the school recorded four total 10-plus win seasons in the 23 years before this streak.
