CINCINNATI — Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly is expected to accept the LSU head coaching job this week according to Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports. An announcement could come as soon as Tuesday.
With Kelly Baton Rouge bound, will Notre Dame go after Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell?
Fickell has transformed Cincinnati into a football powerhouse. The Bearcats are fourth in the latest College Football Rankings and have a 12-0 record.
Fickell has told recruits that he isn't leaving Cincinnati, but there's no way he could've anticipated the Notre Dame job opening up.
Time will tell, but the Fighting Irish could pursue the Bearcats head coach in the coming days and weeks.
