Notre Dame Recruiting Roundup - March 13th

In this story:
With only 10 days until the Notre Dame squad kicks off spring practice, the next week promises to be a busy one on the recruiting trail. St. Patrick’s Day is on Friday, which means there will be countless offers extended by the staff for their annual Pot Of Gold event.
Both 2024 and 2025 recruits are continuing to solidify school visits for the spring and summer. We saw a flurry of talented 2024 recruits set those visits this past weekend, on top of another offer extended and a Notre Dame target included the Irish in his top ten schools.
Let’s recap this last week in Notre Dame recruiting.
LATEST RECRUITING NEWS
Among the biggest pieces of news this week, 2024 Olney (Md.) Good Counsel linebacker Aaron Chiles released his Top Ten Schools list. It was an impressive list of schools, which included the Irish. Notre Dame is in the game with the Maryland star but doesn’t appear to be a serious contender to land him currently.
Several key Notre Dame targets also solidified visits to campus this weekend. That includes Drexel Hill (Pa.) Monsignor Bonner pass rusher Mylachi Williams, who will be making his first visit to campus for the Blue-Gold Game.
Defensive line recruiting has been an odd affair so far in the 2024 recruiting class. A player like Williams could quickly erase some of that frustration if the Irish could land him.
Speaking of strange, the same thing could be said for linebacker recruiting in the cycle. There is a lot of talent on the board without question and the staff is receiving visits from two very intriguing linebackers over the next few weeks.
Jonesboro (Ark.) Valley View standout Brian Huff will also be making the trip to South Bend for the Blue-Gold Game. That trip will be Huff’s first time on campus and will be a big indicator just for how much interest both sides have.
Things appear in a great spot with Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic star defender Cole Sullivan. The 6-3, 200-pound athlete has been on campus before, making the trip twice last year for games. Notre Dame appears to be right near the top going into his visit on March 31st.
Last but certainly not least, Peculiar (Mo.) Raymore star tight end Jaden Reddell has also set up a visit to Notre Dame. The 6-4, 225-pound pass catcher has quickly become a priority for the Irish. Getting him on campus at the end of this month is a big opportunity.
The rest of the recruiting week was about continuing to provide insight into the 2024 recruiting class and highlighting some of the top recruits on the board. Notre Dame got an outstanding early commitment from Hannibal (Mo.) High School running back Aneyas Williams. The staff wants to add another running back to pair with Williams and Lufkin (Texas) High School star Kedren Young could provide a perfect fit.
We have spoken a lot in the past about the importance for Notre Dame to make a bigger impact in the state of Tennessee. I took a look at a few players that the staff have their eyes on in 2024.
There were also some topics concerning the recent 2023 NFL Scouting Combine following the conclusion of the event, including former star pass rusher Isaiah Foskey who had a very strong performance in Indianapolis. I was made aware that seven NFL teams had formal meetings with Foskey during the week.
Just for fun, I also did a preview for the 2024 NFL Draft and some Notre Dame players that we could see at the Combine next year. It was an extremely interesting list to work through.
RECENT PROSPECT INTERVIEWS
The week also brought a few different interviews with key Notre Dame targets. One of those players included 2025 Westerville (Ohio) North offensive lineman Jake Cook. The 6-5, 305-pound offensive lineman does not currently hold an offer from the Irish but the program is keeping close eyes on Cook. The Ohio native has set a visit to campus soon.
A recent offer was extended last weekend when 2024 Warner Robins (Ga.) High School athlete Isiah Canion visited Notre Dame for the first time. The 6-3, 190-pound pass catcher went in depth on his recent offer from the Irish.
During that same weekend, 2024 Medina (Tenn.) South Gibson defender Cameron Clark also made his first trip to South Bend. Clark provided some insight into his growing relationship with Notre Dame, as well as his recruitment.
