UCLA Women's Basketball: Fans, Bruins React To Londynn Jones' New Three-Point Record

The world has weighed in.

Still just a sophomore, UCLA Bruins star guard Londynn Jones has emerged as her club's new all-time leader in most three-pointers made during a single season. She logged 78 triples this regular season, across 29 contests (24 starts). She averaged a robust 6.9 triple tries a night, while connecting on 39% of them.

The frequency of those long range efforts is particularly notable. With a presumed bigger role next season, how much further can Jones go to break her own record (assuming health)? Time will tell. But for now, at least, we can bask in the glory of the moment.

Jones' All-Pac-12 teammate, graduate student guard Charisma Osborne, celebrated the good news on her official X/Twitter account with a simple, declarative statement:

Fans also cheered Jones on beneath the official declaration from UCLA's official X/Twitter account, rooting for her to continue the prolific output as the postseason looms:

Another issued a similar missive:

A third issued his hearty congratulations to the young star:

All told this year for Cori Close's 24-5 club (13-5 in the Pac-12), Jones is averaging 12.7 points on .392/.390/.814 shooting splits, two assists, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per bout.

Jones, Osborne, and the rest of your No. 7-ranked Bruins will next do battle against the No. 22-ranked Utah Utes in the quarterfinal round of this year's Pac-12 Tournament tonight in Las Vegas. Tip off is slated for 8:30 p.m. PT.
