Watch: Roger Goodell runs 40-yard dash for charity

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell ran a 40-yard dash to benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital on Wednesday.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell showed off his own athletic ability by running a 40-yard dash on Wednesday to benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Goodell ran the 40 in 5.53 seconds, which isn't quite as fast as some of these guys will run, but not bad for a 55-year-old.

The commissioner was taking after NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen, who runs the dash every year during the combine and set a personal best last year.

"[Goodell] has thrown down the gauntlet to Eisen," said NFL Network executive producer Eric Weinberger, according to Sports Business Daily.
