Scottish soccer player denies hurling McMuffins at McDonald's staff

Jason Cummings, a 19-year-old striker for Scottish club Hibernian, denies he hurled breakfast sandwiches at employees in an Edinburgh McDonald's.
The Scottish Daily Recordreported Wednesday that Cummings "and his friends started lobbing the food [at staff] while shouting abuse at customers at the restaurant’s Gorgie Road branch in Edinburgh." A McDonald's spokeswoman told the paper his alleged behavior was "unacceptable" and "antisocial."
But Cummings denies the whole ridiculous story.

"He was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got caught up in something that wasn't his doing," the Daily Record quoted a source close to Cummings as saying.
Still, the Scottish media are having a lot of fun with the story. Even the company that sponsors the club's jersey made fun of Cummings.
