Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady have a lot in common. Both are modern New England sports legends who have led their teams to titles in recent memory, and both have continued to produce at a high level despite being among the oldest on the field.

Ortiz is sitting at 39, while Brady is 37, and neither has announced any retirement plans. Ortiz has a simple explanation for their ability to defy what conventional age wisdom typically dictates.

LeBron James briefly forgot he endorses McDonald's

"We are like the wine," he told reporters on Wednesday at spring training.

Makes sense. And with the offseason the Red Sox have had, an even better David Ortiz is a scary thought.
