Steve Spurrier surprised Darius Rucker on The Dan Patrick Show

South Carolina Gamecocks football coach Steve Spurrier surprised his friend Darius Rucker by calling in to The Dan Patrick Show while Rucker was on the air.

South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier was able to find a few minutes Thursday to step away from the golf course and surprise his friend Darius Rucker. 

Spurrier called in to The Dan Patrick Show as "Steven from Columbia" and the country singer took a little while to catch on.

Rucker and Spurrier chatted for a bit about South Carolina sports and Rucker promised to play a free concert in Columbia if the Gamecocks win the national championship.
