Houston Dynamo tweeted birthday wishes to DaMarcus Beasley too early

Soccer teams learned a lesson about the importance of wishing players a happy birthday last year when rumors popped up that Yaya Touré was considering leaving Manchester City after the team failed to properly celebrate his birthday.

Soccer teams learned a lesson about the importance of wishing players a happy birthday last year when rumors popped up that Yaya Touré was considering leaving Manchester City after the team failed to properly celebrate his birthday.

To avoid a similar incident, the Houston Dynamo were sure to wish DaMarcus Beasley a happy birthday on Monday.

Unfortunately for the team, they were 20 days too early as Beasley does not turn 33 until May 24, but he did have a good sense of humor about the mix up, saying that he was more than willing to begin accepting gifts now.
