Cam Newton’s interview interrupted by teammate's MVP chant

Cam Newton is making a strong case for the MVP award this season as the quarterback of the undefeated Panthers. After a 38–0 win over the Falcons on Sunday, one of his teammates decided to take his case to the airwaves in the middle of Newton’s postgame interview.

Newton and FOX’s Pam Oliver were startled by the screaming football player, who remained off-camera while making his pitch for Cam to hoist the league’s highest individual honor.

The fifth-year veteran has already thrown for a career-high 28 touchdowns with three games left to play this year, along with seven rushing touchdowns on the season.
