Watch: Nets fans can’t be bothered to answer arena cheer prompts

Tuesday January 12th, 2016

Fans in Brooklyn have been known to be sort of... unique. They often arrive late or cheer for the opposing team, and sometimes they don’t really know what’s going on.

Monday night was one of those times.

During a game against the Spurs, the public address attempted to play a “dayyyy-ooooo” call-and-response game with fans. They were having none of it.

If there were ever a time to get excited about a Nets game, this would surely be it. They trailed one of basketball’s best teams by four points! Maybe they were just so fixated on the action that they couldn’t be bothered with mindless arena antics.

On Tuesday, Nets center Brook Lopez and forward Thaddeus Young said that they’d begun to recruit free agents to play in Brooklyn. While this fan experience doesn’t exactly hurt, it doesn’t help!
