Wisconsin HS students protest WIAA stance on chants

Wednesday January 13th, 2016

On Monday, word spread around the web that the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association had told its students that chants like “Fundamentals,” “Air ball” and “Scoreboard” were considered unsportsmanlike.

On Tuesday, high schoolers in Wisconsin spoke out against the WIAA.

A group of students at Ashwaubenon High School attended a game dressed in black, with duct tape over their mouths that read ‘WIAA.’
