One NBA team asked Frank Mason III how he wants to die

And he probably didn’t give the answer they want.

NFL draft prospects aren’t only ones subjected to insane questions from interested teams. The practice has apparently spread to the NBA draft, where one team at this week’s combine asked Kansas guard Frank Mason III how he wants to die.

No, it wasn’t a threat, just the kind of brain teaser teams love to spring on players. His answer? Peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family.

That’s a perfectly reasonable response, and a sweet one, too. But I’d be willing to bet that’s not the answer the team was looking for.

They probably wanted him to say “rescuing senior citizens from a burning hospital,” or “pushing a child out of the way of a bus,” or, at the very least, “not until my contract expires.”
