On Monday evening, three-star quarterback and rising senior Bobby Coleman Jr. announced his college commitment. Coleman Jr. pledged to Georgia State over offers from programs such as USF, Liberty, and Jacksonville State.

Coleman Jr. reported interest from some major schools early in his recruitment, as Georgia, Texas A&M, and Auburn were all involved at different junctures.

In the end, Coleman Jr. will have an opportunity to play at the FBS level, while not traveling too far from home.

Georgia State offered Coleman Jr. less than two weeks after the program hired Dell McGee as head coach. McGee is 4-20 overall during his two seasons with the Panthers, including a 1-11 mark in 2025.
