"The energy level at a Ryder Cup is incomparable," said Roberts, who shares a compassionate story involving captains Lanny Wadkins and Bernard Gallacher during the closing ceremonies after a heated 1995 Ryder Cup at Oak Hill in Pittsford, N.Y.
