SI.com girls' Top 25

Generally the rankings more or less fall into place -- but not this year. Sacred Heart Cathedral is the clear number one, but after that it's all a jumble. Poly (Long Beach, Calif.) has beaten three ranked teams, but lost to an unranked one while Notre Dame Academy (Middleburg, Va.), the preseason No. 1, has done pretty much the same.

Meanwhile, the remaining unbeaten teams haven't played nearly as tough a schedule, so it's hard to say how good they are. There will be some sorting out in the next couple weeks, but it looks like it's going to be a long, confusing season.
