Lexington Catholic of Kentucky drops out of the top 25 this week after taking a trip to Ohio to play Hoover High.

So what do nationally ranked out-of-state teams get when they travel? An opponents' best shot. Knights star Natalie Novosel, who will play at Notre Dame, fouled out after scoring 23 points. Hoover shot 28 free throws; Lexington Catholic 10.

Final score: 65-60, Hoover.

It's possible, of course, that the disparity in free throws was because the Vikings were a lot quicker than the Knights, and that Novosel fouled out on five no-doubt calls. It's also possible that the whistles didn't blow quite as much on the kids in white, which has been known to happen before.
